![]() One of the best ways to show your love of our amazing planet is to recycle and repurpose existing materials in your crafts. Whether you celebrate on April 22 or March 20, or both, there are lots of wonderful ways you can get your craft on and show your love for the Earth at the same time. The other is April 22, which is also recognized by many nations, including the U.S., where it was initiated in 1970 by Gaylord Nelson, a Senator from Wisconsin. One is celebrated by the UN and other organizations, on the day of the vernal equinox (in 2009 that’s March 20). For us this is not just a lifestyle principle, but a call to use our creativity to make something beautiful or useful out of the leftovers of modern life. As Craftsters, many of us love the creative challenge posed by the maxim “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle”. ![]() ![]() It’s a time to be extra aware of our impact on the planet, and to think about ways we can preserve it throughout the year. Earth Day is a worldwide celebration of life and the environment of our beautiful planet Earth.
